Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay was arrested on Monday morning and he could find himself in more trouble than initially believed. After his arrest, it was reported that Irsay was being charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence, but now the charges are more severe.

According to the Indianapolis Star, Irsay is facing four counts of felony possession of a controlled substance.

The charges come after authorities discovered “multiple prescription drugs in pill bottles.”

The report adds, “These Schedule IV prescription drugs were not associated with any prescription bottles found in the vehicle.”

Pills that fall under the Schedule IV category include Xanax, Soma, Klonopin, Tranxene, Valium, Ativan, Versed, Restoril, and Halcion. He has previously dealt with presciption drug, but claimed to be clean for nearly 15 years.

Irsay is subject to discipline under the NFL’s substance abuse policy, which could include a severe fine and potential suspension by the league.

Irsay remains in jail on $22,500 bond.
