The Green Bay Packers are set at running back with Eddie Lacy, but it appears they’re still interested in retaining free agent James Starks.

Starks recently met with the Pittsburgh Steelers who would like to bring him in as a backup to Le’Veon Bell, but it’s unknown if they’ll be willing to meet his price tag. The Packers have continued to show interest in Starks, but the belief was that he’d simply be priced out of their affordable range. However, Starks – despite being one of the better running backs left on the market – has drawn relatively limited interest and he’s possible to return to the Packers at this point.

"In addition to his #Steelers visit, two more teams are interested in James Starks. Source says #Packers are still in the mix."

Starks isn’t likely to find a starting gig (especially at this point of the offseason) so it’s really just a matter of money and where he feels comfortable at this point. You’d think Green Bay would hold a small advantage there, but that will remain to be seen in the coming days/weeks when Starks eventually makes his decision.
