Tennessee Titans’ wide receiver Kenny Britt has been in Foxborough, Massachusetts visiting the New England Patriots overt the weekend.

Although they have already re-signed Julian Edelman and agreed to a deal with former Carolina Panthers’ wide receiver Brandon LaFell, the Patriots hoped to sign Britt to a deal before he left the team to take another visit.

According to the NFL Network’s Albert Breer, that did not happen and Britt will now head to the nation’s capital to visit with the Washington Redskins.

Britt was originally drafted with the 30th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Titans. The former Rutgers Scarlet Knights’ star had immediate success, catching 42 passes for 701 yards and three touchdowns. A year later, he again had 42 catches, but scored nine touchdowns and played in four fewer games.

However, his off-the-field issues have continued to plague him and it all culminated in an 11-catch, 96-yard season in 2013.
