The New Orleans Saints and tackle Zach Strief have agreed to a five-year deal. There were reports just earlier today that the Saints and Strief were close to a deal and reports late last week that he turned down offers to visit with other teams like the Miami Dolphins.
Strief’s strongest suit is pass-protection, and it is critical for the Saints to keep quarterback Drew Brees on his feet as their run game goes through some adjustments without Darren Sproles.
