With the loss of Michael Johnson to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the free agency period, the Cincinnati Bengals are looking for some help up front at the defensive end position, and NFL Network’s Curtis Conway recently pointed out that the team should be taking a look at Auburn’s impressive force at that position, Dee Ford.

"“I think they’re going to go to the front four, and that’s at defensive end,” Conway said on “Path to the Draft” on Monday. “They lose Michael Johnson to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so that leaves a spot open, and I like Dee Ford, the young man out of Auburn.”"

Ford is considered the second-ranked at the position by many, behind Jadeveon Clowney, and opened a lot of eyes with his performance at the Senior Bowl a few weeks ago, as he was just as dominating in that game as he was for Auburn all season on their run toward the BCS National Championship Game.

Cincinnati currently holds the 24th overall pick in this year’s draft, so if they are taking a look at Ford to fill the void left by the departure of Johnson, it’ll come down to the wire.
