NFL rumors: Patriots show interest in Lance Moore

The New England Patriots had a stable of no-name receivers in 2013, so it comes as no surprise that they are looking to bolster the unit as much as possible before the start of the 2014 season. New England got off to a great start by signing Brandon LaFell and re-upping Julian Edelman, but they don’t appear to be done adding talent just yet.

After agreeing reaching out to Jason Avant and Kenny Britt, the Patriots are also reportedly “checking out” New Orleans Saints free agent receiver Lance Moore.

The news comes from the Boston Globe.

At one point in his career, Moore was able to make some big plays in the Saints offense, but since then he has been aging and slowing down so the Patriots may just view him as another sure-handed receiver that could help the team move the chains.
