Given the fast success that wide receiver DeSean Jackson found in his first year in the offensive system of head coach Chip Kelly, you would think that all is well in Philadelphia.

Not such, as the Eagles are reportedly taking calls from interested teams about a possible trade for Jackson. It is a situation that has the potential to get ugly, as Jackson is apparently unhappy with the fact that the team would consider trading him. The more unhappy he is, the more inclined they might be to dish him. You see how these situations can get circular?

This latest bit from Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News doesn’t stand to help things.

Jackson had his best season by far in 2013. He started all 16 games and posted 1,332 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. There is serious momentum with the Eagles franchise and Jackson is right in the center of that development. It does not make much sense for either side to part ways, but these situations can devolve quickly and especially with a volatile guy like Jackson.

These might be trade rumors that simply fade away, but until they do this situation is worth monitoring.
