For months now we’ve heard the St. Louis Rams aren’t exactly enamored with the idea of picking second overall in the 2014 NFL Draft and they would be open to moving the pick.

That sentiment has not changed, at least according to Tony Pauline of Draft Insider who says word around the Orlando Pro Day (for UCF) was that the Rams are still open to trading the selection.

"Word around the league and in Orlando (UCF pro-day) has the St Louis Rams actively shopping the number two pick in the draft…"

St. Louis seems content moving forward with Sam Bradford as their quarterback which takes them out of the running for Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles or Teddy Bridewater.

There’s the idea of selecting Jadeveon Clowney (assuming he’s still on the board) but the Rams may be best served by pulling in a handful of picks/players rather than selecting a player like Clowney as they need more than one position filled.

Regardless, it appears the Rams could be an active team in the coming weeks.

The Atlanta Falcons have been continually rumored as a team who would like to trade up in the first round.
