Chiefs willing to trade up or down in draft

Draft night for Kansas City Chiefs fans may have its ups and downs this year. The Chiefs currently have the 23rd overall pick, but there is reason to believe that they may not stay in that slot.

General Manager John Dorsey recently said that the team may move up get get a player they want, or move down depending on what offers come down the pipes on draft night.

“Well, my phone is always open, if you want to tell those guys if they want to trade up or down, just give me a call. You know what; you have to do everything within your power to see if you can do things. Rest assured that I will try to do everything I can to move up (or) move down if I feel like it’s time to pull the trigger and go up and get a player, or pull the trigger to move down to get a player, I will use every resource available to me.”

The Chiefs are expected to address needs at wide receiver, guard and safety in the draft no matter where they pick.

The Kansas City Chiefs have great General Manager in John Dorsey, and Head Coach Andy Reid. They will be fine in 2014 and beyond!!!

I would love to see them trade down and pickup a second round pick. This draft is deep, and if they can move back 10-12 spots and grab a WR and safety in round two then I’ll be thrilled

I would like them trade up to get Sammy Watkins or Mike Evans bc those two are the most ready IMO to make a difference for a team week 1 out of the WR position. Remember if we trade up this doesn’t mean all the picks we trade have to come out of this years draft…….. but than again if we trade back and get more picks for this years draft than we could possibly add a few more Good prospects that might be able to help us out in the long run. Either way I hope we hit a homerun on whatever we do.
