The Milwaukee Bucks are not playing for anything more than the best odds at the No. 1 pick in the draft this June, so it should come as no surprise that they’ve shut down one of their best players for the rest of the season.

While it looked incredibly likely to happen anyways, the Bucks have officially ruled center Larry Sanders out for the entire season.

Sanders suffered broken right orbital bone on Feburary 8th and that not only derailed his season but also derailed any hopes the Bucks had of trading him for a draft pick. There was a good chance that someone like the Dallas Mavericks may have given up a high draft pick for Sanders, but thanks to his injury we’ll never know.

What we do know is that Sanders season is officially done and he, like the Bucks, is going out with a whimper.
