Over the last few days, rumors surrounding wide receiver DeSean Jackson and his future with the Philadelphia Eagles (or lack thereof) have swelled.

The Eagles reportedly have shopped Jackson and he can potentially be had for a third round pick. The New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers supposedly made inquiries into Jackson, but the 49ers are apparently not interested in Jackson while the Patriots likely are.

On Wednesday, a report surfaced claiming Eagles head coach Chip Kelly talked to Jackson, assuring him he wouldn’t be traded.

Hours later, a conflicting report surfaced.

According to Les Bowen of Philly.com, Kelly has not spoken to Jackson.

"Updating: I’ve now heard from a more “official” DeSean Jackson source. Source says contrary to what I was told earlier, and what Ike Reese reported on 94WIP, DeSean HAS NOT talked to Chip Kelly about trade speculation. Says DeSean has tried to, but Chip has been too busy with free agency, etc."

Jackson was fantastic for the Eagles last season. He caught 82 passes for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns.
