The Green Bay Packers are reportedly interested in signing free agent kick return specialist Devin Hester, and they have good reason for wanting to do so. While fans will point to the excellent Randall Cobb as the Packers return man, the team apparently wants to take Cobb off of kick returns and have him focus solely on replacing James Jones in the Packers receiving corps.

Per ESPN.com:

"The Packers want to upgrade their return game while also taking receiver Randall Cobb out of that job. Cobb, who has three career special teams touchdowns on returns, will take on an even greater role on offense this season after the departure of James Jones."

The move makes sense for the Packers, as Cobb risks needless injury on every kick return and he frankly seems to be a better receiver. Plus, Hester is the best kick returner to have ever played the game and you can do way worse than adding him, even at his age.
