For the past few weeks, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has heard his name circulated in trade rumors.

The talk apparently got to Jackson who publicly came out and stated he was concerned a move was possible, but the Eagles wanted to reassure him nothing of the sort was taking place.

According to CBS Philly, head coach Chip Kelly recently met with Jackson and informed the flamboyant wideout that he would not be traded.

"94WIP’s Ike Reese opened the Mike and Ike Show Wednesday by saying that Eagles coach Chip Kelly has assured the wide receiver that he will not be traded this offseason.“He’s [DeSean Jackson] talked to Chip [Kelly] this off-season,” Reese said, citing a source close to the situation. “He’s talked to Chip and Chip told him you don’t have to worry about all the rumors that are out there. You’re here. He’s been assured, at least he’s been assured at that time [when they talked], that he wasn’t going anywhere. “"

On Tuesday reports leaked that while the Eagles weren’t shopping Jackson, teams like the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers inquired about the wide receiver.
