Antonio Cromartie goes on Twitter rant after singing with Cardinals, leaving Jets
By Mike Dyce
New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie is leaving the team and moving west as he joins the Arizona Cardinals. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Thursday that Cromartie had signed a one-year deal with the Cards for undisclosed financial terms.
It looks like Cromartie leaving the Jets wasn’t amicable because he is going on a Twitter rant. However he deleted the tweets just minutes after venting.
“It’s amazing how you can be so loyal to someone and they can be so disloyal to you. But you live and you learn,” Cromartie wrote on Twitter. “I learned today that it is possible to turn the other cheek when someone slaps you in the face..”
One day athletes will learn that it doens’t matter how quickly you delete the tweet someone out there, me in this case, will still catch it with a screen shot. The temptation of venting on social media just continually proves to be too tempting to resist.
[UPDATE:] He is going with the “hacked” excuse.
