The cornerback market is beginning to dry up and another man is no longer available after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed to a one-year deal with free agent defensive back Mike Jenkins.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network was the first to ass along the news.

Last season with the Oakland Raiders, Jenkins recorded 65 tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble. He began his NFL career as a first-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys where he made a Pro Bowl appearance. Jenkins has has 226 tackles and 10 interceptions for his career.

Jenkins is a solid No. 3 corner that could help the Buccaneers with depth after releasing Darrelle Revis earlier in the offseason.

While this is a solid signing for the Buccaneers, the New York Jets have to be sitting back and wondering if there will be any cornerbacks available when they finally decide to show interest in one.
