The Chicago Bears have recently parted ways with future Hall of Fame kick-return specialist Devin Hester, who agree’d to a multi-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons earlier today.

So all that left the Bears with, was veteran return man and former Atlanta Falcon, Eric Weems. Now according to Brad Briggs on Twitter, Weems declined to take a pay cut. With him refusing to take a pay cut, the Chicago Bears are expected to release him very soon.

With Weems on his way out, it looks like Chicago will have another huge hole to fill in this depth chart. Second year running back Michael Ford and veteran wide receiver Domenik Hixon may be able to get a shot at returning kicks next year for the team but could see some competition if the Bears decide to bring someone in through the NFL Draft.
