There have been plenty of rumors over the past few days about the future of Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson and whether or not he will be a member of the Eagles organization when next season kicks off.

On Thursday, reports surfaced that a man close to Jackson said there was “no way” the receiver would be back in Philadelphia, and now there are reports that the New York Jets have inquired about the speedy wide receiver.

New York has been looking to find weapons for young quarterback Geno Smith, and having a guy like DeSean Jackson to stretch the field is as good as it could get for the team — especially with the reliable Eric Decker on the opposite side of the formation.

Another interesting note is that the Jets have been showing interest in free agent quarterback Michael Vick.

Vick and Jackson have a strong relationship and if there was a way to get both of the players to join Gang Green you would have to believe Jets head coach Rex Ryan would do anything he can to make that happen.

We will have to keep a close eye on this story as it continues to develop, but the Jets offense could go from a weakness to a strength in 2014.
