Free agent tight end Jermichael Finley is waiting patiently to find himself a new place to call him, but he may have to wait for awhile according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Finley suffered a bruised spinal cord in week 7 of the 2013 season against the Cleveland Browns which later resulted in him having neck surgery. I figured it would have been a season ending injury considering it involved his spinal cord.

Jermichael could still compete for a starting job with at least a handful of teams in the league. One team that could try him out could be the New England Patriots. With Rob Gronkowski suffering a couple back to back season ending injuries over the last couple of seasons, if Finley is able to stay healthy, he could bring his career back to life with Tom Brady.

He’s a career 2,785 tight end with 20 touchdowns and has an average of 12.5 yards per reception. The 26 year old tight end finished 25 receptions for 300 receiving yards and three touchdowns with the Packers last season.

Now this question is for those who read this article. Would you like your team to pick up Finley? Or is it too much of a risk for your team to take? Sound off in the comment section below.
