The Houston Texans own the No 1 overall draft pick and the speculation over what they’ll do has been rampant all offseason. The Houston Chronicle‘s John McClain think the Texans’ moves have shown their hand and that the signs point towards drafting a quarterback.

“By signing quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and trading Matt Schaub to Oakland, the Texans have given another indication they plan to use their first-round pick on a quarterback,” McClain writes.

There are three quarterbacks in the running for the top spot in the NFL Draft and McClain says it is even possible that they could trade down to take a quarterback.

“If the Texans like more than one of them equally – doubtful, by the way – it’s conceivable they could trade down two or three spots and get one they covet,” McClain wrote.

If the Texans are looking to take local product Johnny Manziel, they might be able to move down for him.
