The Philadelphia Eagles have been reportedly hitting the trade market hard in effort to trade problem child wide receiver, DeSean Jackson.

However, doing so has (and will continue) to prove tough considering Jackson has a massive contract that will not only force a team to dig deep into their pockets, but creates salary cap issues.

There are a few teams out there with cap space to make such a deal – though it’s not known if they’d be able to meet the asking price of the Philadelphia Eagles (or if they’d want to).

One team said to have some interest in Jackson are the New York Jets and according to ESPN, it’s possible Jackson refuses to re-work his contract (to make a trade easier) because he wants the Eagles to release him so he can sign with the Jets.

"He reportedly is unwilling to renegotiate his deal, which makes a trade less likely. Jackson may not be motivated to re-work the deal because he knows it will force his release, allowing him to reunite with Vick. It’s possible that Vick picked the Jets, knowing his former teammate wouldn’t be far behind."

Seems a little elaborate and is presuming the Jets would rush to sign Jackson (or that he wouldn’t be claimed off waivers), but intriguing none the less.
