Quarterbacks around the league such as Tony Romo and Jay Cutler have gotten paid recently with some new contracts. But, something Romo and Cutler don’t have is two Super Bowl rings, something that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger does have as he seeks a new deal with the Rooneys. However, at the NFL meetings in Orlando, Steelers GM Kevin Colbert didn’t seem too optimistic about a deal getting done this summer.

"“We’ll get through free agency, get through the draft and see where we are,” Colbert said Sunday at the NFL meetings in Orlando, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “Traditionally we have done quarterbacks (contracts) two years out, but as (team president) Art (Rooney) stated, we may or may not be in a position to do something this summer.”"

Big Ben is under contract now through 2015 and is scheduled to make 12 and $11 million respectively over the next two campaigns.

The organization, Colbert in particular, has come out and stated previously that the organization would love for their two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback to retire with the team, however that’s no guarantee, depending on how the negotiations take place.
