The Baltimore Ravens lacked play makers for years.
In 2012 with veteran Anquan Boldin and speedster Torrey Smith, the team finally had the proper weapons to make a run. They did just that, by taking down Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos and Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in consecutive weeks to advance to the Super Bowl where they defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
Last year, they traded Boldin to the 49ers in a money saving move and the offense suffered.
This offseason, the Ravens brought in veteran Steve Smith from the Carolina Panthers to start with Torrey Smith. Their next priority to lock Smith down to an extension.
According to Matt Zenitz of the Carroll County Times and Annapolis Capital, the Ravens would to work out an extension with Smith before the draft in May.
