The New York Jets have moved on from Mark Sanchez but he’s apparently drawing some interest in other places. That interest may be inflated though, as reports that teams are interested in the quarterback are being countered by people actually involved with the day-to-day operations.

While Mark Sanchez was supposed to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles — something ESPN reported but ended up being untrue — another team with supposed interest is pulling out of the running, although not entirely so. The St. Louis Rams were one of the first teams mentioned with Sanchez but head coach Jeff Fisher has shot down any notion of real interest in Sanchez.

Per the St Louis Dispatch:

"“I’d say there is interest,” Fisher told USA Today on Sunday. “I can’t say how much. I do not have a backup with experience right now.”The key words there were “I can’t say how much.”"

The team already has a so-so quarterback standing on shaky ground moving forward, so adding another is an understandably unattractive idea. Still, the Eagles haven’t signed Mark Sanchez yet and Fisher didn’t say the Rams officially won’t, which means the Mark Sanchez train will keep on chugging along for the time being.
