Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers played with So Yeon Ryu and Natalie Gulbis at the Kia Classic pro-am today.  He has a good golf game, and an easygoing demeanor on the course.

In between the autograph signing and picturing taking, I asked Rodgers a few questions about his golf game.

How long have you been playing golf?

"Since high school."

What are the strengths of your game?

"I’m usually a pretty good putter, and I’m fairly long off the tee."

What about golf appeals to you?

"The challenge.  The challenge of trying to hit a little white ball in a hole.  It’s a totally different feel than football, and you are competing against yourself."

Favorite golfer?

"Natalie Gulbis."

Masters pick?

"Tiger."

Picking Tiger Woods to win the Masters is not a safe bet because Tiger may not play due to a recurring back problem.  However, Tiger has never missed a Masters since his debut in 1995, and his record is nothing short of spectacular.  In 19 career starts, Tiger has 14 Top 10s and four Green Jackets.  If Tiger can figure out how to swing the club without aggravating his back, then the field will be in trouble.

Great finish by Rodgers on the tenth hole at Aviara Golf Club.
