Early this morning, the Chicago Bears signed DE Jared Allen. He signed for $32 million over 4 years with 15.5M guaranteed. He had multiple offers on the table including one from the Seahawks.

It turns out that one of the deciding factors in signing with the Bears is that he thinks Jay Cutler can lead them to a Super Bowl title:

Normally, I would laugh at this and say that Cutler is good but not that good. However, Allen has been in Minnesota where QB has been very bad so he might have rose colored glasses on. If he thinks Cutler can win a Super Bowl, what does he think of Russell Wilson who has already won a Super Bowl? We will find out soon enough though if Cutler can lead these Bears to a championship.
