NFL Trade Rumors: Dolphins, Eagles could trade DeSean Jackson for Mike Wallace
By Josh Hill
The NFL world is consumed at the moment about what the Philadelphia Eagles will do about their situation with DeSean Jackson. It appears that they will almost certainly part ways with him at this point, but the question is will he be cut or will he be traded?
Down in Miami, a similar situation is brewing with receiver Mike Wallace, who hasn’t lived up to the contract the Dolphins gave him a few years ago. Many people saw this coming, but the day has arrived when Miami is starting to shop their overpaid and overrated receiver.
With both high priced, high maintenance and high reward players on the trade block, there are some that are starting to entertain the idea of a straight up swap between the Dolphins and Eagles.
There are just as many problems with this as things to possibly love — but probably more problems. The Dolphins would be trading a player their already overpaying to be a problem for a player who they’ll have to pay in the near future who may potentially be a problem.
Ditto for the Eagles situation, as Philly has already begun looking at Jackson clones in the draft class this year to replace him. This trade may make sense in Madden 25, but it won’t likely be happening in the real world — but never say never.
