NFL Rumors: Maurice Jones-Drew visiting Oakland Raiders Thursday and Friday

The search for a new home has led free-agent running back Maurice Jones-Drew to the west coast as the veteran is set to visit with the Oakland Raiders Thursday and Friday, according to Ian Rapoport.

The talk lately has been surrounding talks between Jones-Drew and the Pittsburgh Steelers, but a move out to Oakland would make significant sense as well, taking a little of the pressure off the injury-riddled Darren McFadden in regards to producing out of the backfield.

Latest reports have him looking for something in the area of $3.5 million per year, which is certainly seen as a possibility by some and we know that the Raiders organization has never been bashful about shelling out money to top offensive pieces.

With a two-day visit, there’s a good chance that the two could come out of the weekend with a deal in place.

So cool! I was hoping this would happen!! This would be a super smart signing, I think MoJo wasn’t happy with the Jags the last couple of years and it took away his desire to unleash the “beast Mode” I think he would be inspired coming home to the Bay Area to play. We need to also get DeSean Jackson, and maybe the center Mack from cleavland. Then draft time here we come!! #Raaaaaiderrsssss!!

It is being reported that the deal has been finalized.
