Slowly but surely, Mark Sanchez is becoming a full-fledged member of the Philadelphia Eagles as Ian Rapoport is reporting that the two sides have come to terms on a deal Thursday, a deal which should be signed by the end of the day.

After being released by the New York Jets last week, there were a few potential suitors out there for the services of the former USC Trojan, but the Eagles quickly came to the forefront as the front runner.

Sanchez visited with the team Wednesday night, and the only aspect of the contract that really needed to be clarified was the health of the injured shoulder, which apparently has been checked out and given a positive report by Eagles team doctors.

Now, it’s expected that Sanchez will be the back up to starter Nick Foles, with Matt Barkley taking the third spot on the QB roster.
