Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Houston Dynamo: 10 Bold Predictions

An exciting East vs. West showdown takes place when Dominic Kinnear’s Houston Dynamo travel to BC Place Stadium to take on Carl Robinson’s Vancouver Whitecaps on Mar. 29. The Dynamo are at the top of the MLS Eastern Conference with a 2-0-0 record (six points), while Vancouver are third in the MLS Western conference with a 1-0-2 record (five points).

Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. PT/6 p.m. CT/7 p.m. ET and will be televised by TSN2 and MLS LIVE. Here are 10 Bold Predictions for Saturday’s match between the Vancouver Whitecaps and Houston Dynamo.

1. Over 25 fouls, under five cards

This will be a fast and fluid game at BC Place. The MLS Multiplex is called for over 25 fouls to be whistled and under five cards issued.

2. At least four goals will be scored

There will also be a lot of goals scored in this game. At least four goals will be scored by both teams.

3. Will Bruin with a brace

Will Bruin, the Dancing Bear, is Houston’s top goalscorer with three goals this season. Bruin will make it five with a brace to lead the Dynamo.

4. Omar Comin’!

Omar Cummings has been on his game, and already opened up his goalscoring account this year. Cummings will be on goal to help the cause for the Men in Orange.

5. Tally Hall with under five saves

This will be a quiet day for Houston goalkeeper Tally Hall. He has made just five saves in two matches so far and will make under five saves on Saturday in British Columbia.

6. Kenny Miller will score for Vancouver

The Whitecaps’ top goalscorer is Kenny Miller, with two goals this season. The ice-cold Scotsman will get on goal against the Dynamo in what will be a losing effort.

7. David Ousted with over five saves

This will be a busy day for Whitecaps goalkeeper Davis Ousted, who is predicted by the Multiplex to record over five saves against the Houston Dynamo firing squad.

8. Corey Ashe with two assists

A number of Houston Dynamo players each have an assist this season, but Corey Ashe is going to have a solid day out being a provider with two assists.

9. No goals for Oscar Boniek Garcia

Oscar Boniek Garcia has also opened his scoring account this year but he will not be on goal to score for the Dynamo, unfortunately.

10. Houston cruises to an easy win

But even with Boniek Garcia not finding the net, the Beasts from the East, the Houston Dynamo, will be cruising to a straightforward victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps on the road.
