Never shy about giving his opinions, new Oakland Raiders running back Maurice Jones-Drew wasted little time in taking a shot at his former franchise, the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars.

On a conference call introducing him with his new team, Jones-Drew took a swipe at the Jaguars. From Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.

He is welcome to his opinion, of course, but how he was done wrong is not immediately clear to the rest of us. He got paid and was always a focal point of the offense in Jacksonville. He had 243 carries in 2013, which might have been kind after a certain point considering that MJD averaged only 3.4 yards per carry. There was that holdout before the 2012 season that made things tense, I suppose, and maybe Jones-Drew simply feels that his prime was wasted on a team that did not have enough talented players.

Then again, if his beef with the Jaguars was a lack of talent on the roster it sure makes the Oakland Raiders an odd choice.
