Former Miami Dolphins defensive back Chris Clemons is perhaps the best free agent available on defense and one of the best free agents over all but he remains out of a job. That might end up changing rather quickly as the market for Clemons is expected to pick up in the coming days and he could find a job in the next week.

According to Houston Texans beat writer Tania Ganguli, Clemons could end up in Houston soon.

The reports on the Manning restructuring is a bit premature, but should it happen — or even if it doesn’t — Clemons makes a lot of sense with the Texans.

Other than Houston, the market for Clemons could heat up and he could start to hear offers from other team. A return to Miami might not even be out of the question thanks to the slow flow of the market, but something seems about to happen with Clemons and he’s a free agent to watch this coming week.
