Despite some problems on the field with certain members of the Washington Redskins defense, recently released wide receiver DeSean Jackson is considering joining the team and staying in the NFC East where he would face his former Philadelphia Eagles twice a year.

Dianna Marie Russini of NBC News4 in Washington D.C. passed along the news on Saturday night that Jackson has a visit with the Redskins scheduled for early next week.

Jackson would be an obvious improvement to the Redskins receiving corp and give the team a weapon on the outside that they currently lack, so their interest comes as no real surprise.

While they are one of Jackson’s first visits, there are at least nine teams who are believed to have interest so it would be a surprise if Jackson didn’t take his time choosing a new home.
