There’s a very good chance that within the next 24 hours, free-agent wide receiver DeSean Jackson could be a member of the Washington Redskins, if all goes well with the rest of his visit with the team. Should he wind up signing a contract, no one would be happier than the face of the franchise himself, QB Robert Griffin III.

On Tuesday night, Griffin sent out a clever tweet showing him in a boxing ring and urging on his team to bring in a new weapon for him in the form of Jackson, which you can view here.

After a lackluster 2013 season to follow up the success he had in his rookie season of 2012, you can bet that Griffin wants the team to land Jackson as he looks to come out and make a statement in 2014.

They have brought Santana Moss back, they still have Pierre Garcon, so the addition of Jackson could get this entire offense over the hump, and that’s not even factoring in the rushing style of Alfred Morris.

Whatever the case may be, we’re coming down to the wire here on whether or not this will become a reality.
