DeSean Jackson’s projected 2014 stats with Redskins
By Jack Crosby
Wednesday morning, DeSean Jackson officially signed his name on a contract to play for the Washington Redskins for the next three years, thus ending his short free agency period. Now, with it being official, everyone is wondering not only what the production of the Redskins offense will be like with Jackson in the fold, but Jackson personally.
In 2013 under the direction of Chip Kelly with the Philadelphia Eagles, Jackson had the best season of his career statistical wise, amassing over 1,300 yards and getting into the end zone nine times.
Can that be replicated with RGIII and the Redskins? We still have yet to see that, but here are his projected stats via the folks at Bovada:
Free Agent Specials – Total Receiving Yards in the 2014 Regular Season – DeSean Jackson
Over/Under 1000½
Free Agent Specials – Total Receptions in the 2014 Regular Season – DeSean Jackson
Over/Under 72½
Free Agent Specials – Total TD’s in the 2014 Regular Season – DeSean Jackson
Over/Under 7
All of these, considering all of the factors involved, seem like reasonable estimates, especially given how well Jackson can separate from defenders, coupled with Griffin’s ability to throw the ball down the field.
How well do you think Jackson will produce with his new team? Let us know in the comments below.
