Running back Christine Michael was all but an innocent bystander during the Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl run, but that’s likely to come to an end in the near future.
It’s doubtful Michael will be rushed into a massive role next season, but he’s certainly to see his playing time increase – especially given the fact that general manager John Schneider is in his corner.
Schneider was speaking to reporters recently when he bestowed praise on Michael, calling him one of the Seahawks’ most explosive players.
Schneider also mentioned that the Seahawks barely used what he called “two of our most explosive offensive players” in Percy Harvin and Christine Michael.
“We are blessed enough to have a young, talented team and we need to be able to plan accordingly to be able to reward those players,” he said.
While Michael may just get a cup of coffee during the upcoming season, the contract of Marshawn Lynch expires after the 2015 campaign which figures to be the same time the Seahawks take the training wheels off Michael moving forward.
