Johnny Manziel is going to make a lot of money on endorsements alone. We already know this with his signing with Nike recently. For his Pro Day, the company released a line of clothing specifically marketed around Manziel.

But as we’ve seen throughout the years, professional success can tear some friendships apart, and that appears to be happening between Manziel and long-time friend Nate Finch, or as he’s more affectionately known, “Uncle Nate.”

According to a report from NFL.com via ESPN, the two are currently set to battle over one of Johnny Football’s trademarks.

"The family of Nate Fitch, the longtime friend of Manziel who was involved in the alleged autograph signings that landed Manziel in hot water with the NCAA last year, owns a company that filed for trademark rights to the phrase “The House That Johnny Built”. Fitch Estate Sales beat the Manziel camp to the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office by a month, according to espn.com."

You’ll remember that Finch was at the forefront of the autograph investigation that landed Manziel in hot water prior to last season.
