If you ever wondered what it would be like for two of the most famous athletes on the planet to own a professional sports franchise, you might get the chance to find out soon as the New York Post is reporting that David Beckham is interested in Heat star LeBron James as a potential investor for his Miami MLS expansion franchise.

"David Beckham is trying to recruit Miami Heat star LeBron James as one of his investors in the Major League Soccer team he plans to launch in Miami.“The two have had several secret meetings in the past few weeks,” a Miami source told me. “LeBron would be to the soccer team what Jay Z was to the Brooklyn Nets.”"

This idea might not be as far-fetched as you would think as just a few months ago, James actually came out in support of bringing an MLS franchise to his city, like Beckham wants to.

"“I think Miami is a great place for soccer,” James said over two months ago. “There’s so many great athletes that come from South Florida, Florida in general, and you know, the lower coast. Hopefully we can make it really good.”"

While soccer is picking up a lot of stem lately here in the United States, having the most famous athlete on the planet involved with the league would be about as big of a boost as you could get.
