Might the Buffalo Bills move Manny Lawson to defensive end? It sounds a little strange on the surface considering Lawson was one of the premier coverage linebackers in the NFL during the 2013 season, but a transition to the 4-3 defense may force the move.

"With coach Marrone saying at the league meetings last week that they’ll primarily be a 4-3 front defensively I do see Hughes and Lawson joining Mario Williams as the primary defensive ends in Jim Schwartz’s defense. Whether they decide to add through the draft remains to be seen, but that’s a pretty darn good trio."

Lawson isn’t really a true defensive end and seems to be best served (and would best serve the Bills) at his outside linebacker position. That would leave Jerry Hughes as the most likely candidate to move if Lawson was to stay at linebacker.

The Bills may opt to use Lawson in more of an emergency defensive end role too, though, the team has not given an indication as to their plans moving forward – at least not as of yet.
