Because of his size, top 2014 NFL Draft QB prospect Blake Bortles has drawn a lot of comparisons to Pittsburgh Steelers signal caller, Ben Roethlisberger. Well, these two might have a lot more in common than we think, as leading up to this draft next month, Bortles has actually worked out with Roethlisberger in preparation of starting his own NFL journey soon.

Bortles comes in at 6-5 and 232-pounds, while Roethlisberger also comes in at 6-5, but has a couple more pounds on the younger Bortles at 241.

Still, though, these two are similarly unique in the sense that not only are they good at standing tall in the pocket and tossing the ball through the defense, but they’re extremely mobile for how big they are, which is what began the comparisons in the first place.

At the moment, though, Bortles could be on track to accomplish something that Roethlisberger hasn’t in his career, and that’s becoming the number one overall pick in the Draft, should the Houston Texans decide to look in his direction.

But I’m sure that once he does get into the league, should he try and rub that in Roethlisberger’s face, Big Ben will just flash his two rings he’s collected throughout his storied career in the Steel City.
