No ladies and gentlemen, that is not the newly signed Chicago Bears long-snapper in the picture above. Chicago’s new long-snapper played for Marc Trestman while he was with the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League.

So with that being said, the Chicago Bears and Chad Rempel have agree’d on a three year deal according to Mike Hogan on Twitter.

Rempel, just like Patrick Mannelly, is a veteran at what he does. Rempel is a 10 year veteran, while Mannelly has spent his entire 16 year career with the Chicago Bears at the same position. So does this signing mean that good ol’ 65’s time with the Chicago Bears are officially over?

Nothing is confirmed just yet, but it seems like Mannelly’s time with the Bears has come to an end. It’ll be sad to see him go, but this is a business. Hopefully Chicago will decide to keep Patrick with the organization.
