2014 will mark the first season that Appalachian State will be a member of the Football Bowl Subdivision. Of course, you would imagine that they would like to make a great first impression on the field with their play, but in today’s world, you draw a lot of attention to yourself with how you look.

That’s why the Mountaineers recently revealed these uniforms that they’ll be donning this year as the football program embarks on their new, exciting journey:

Appalachian State will be a member this year of the always exciting Sun Belt Conference, adding themselves to an impressive list of teams down south that include the likes of Arkansas State and Louisiana-Lafayette.

As for these uniforms themselves, they’re not too bad, in my opinion. They kind of have a West Virginia type look to them, just not with as much yellow incorporated into them.

Also, in most cases, I have been a fan of the chrome facemasks, so that touch is rather appealing as well.
