Cris Carter’s wife allegedly headbutted during tennis match

Former NFL wide receiver Cris Carter’s wife is making the news for an interesting incident. While playing tennis in Boca Raton, Melanie Carter wasn’t thrilled that an opponent asked for a line judge to clarify a call and that is when the altercation occurred.
From TMZ Sports:
"According to a police report, Carter didn’t agree with the judge’s call — and she and the other player approached each other and started arguing.Carter told cops the other woman dared her to “hit me” — but then headbutted Melanie before she could do anything. Melanie claims the two began to fight and wound up on the ground."
Of course the other woman is claiming that Carter threw the punch first and it is becoming a case of one person’s word against the other’s. No arrests were made and I doubt the police will care to follow up with the tennis brawl at Seasons of Boca Raton community center.
