You’d think DeSean Jackson would be trying to make a good impression with the Washington Redskins given his history. But the wide reciever might have already ruffled a few feathers by missing ‘voluntary’ OTA’s with his new team because he was on vacation.

The Redskins, because they have a new coach, are allowed to begin their OTA’s a few weeks early and multiple key players like Robert Griffin III made sure to attend, but Jackson was a no-show, opting to post pictures of his island vacation instead.

Now, in fairness to Jackson this was likely a vacation he had pre-planned dating back to his days with the Eagles, but still, being the new guy in town you’d likely want to impress by showing up and being a leader.

It’s not as if Jackson couldn’t push back the vacation a week or so, right?

Everybody was saying the right thing in regards to Jackson’s absence and again, he wasn’t told or required to be in attendance so it’s not as if he completely flaked. But as a Redskins fan, you probably would have preferred he attended.
