As they do their usual research, the New England Patriots have already met with some of the more high-profile quarterback prospects leading up to the 2014 NFL Draft. On Wednesday, they met with another signal caller, just one that has a lot of questions surrounding him, Virginia Tech’s Logan Thomas.

The Pats made news recently when they met with Johnny Manziel and Teddy Bridgewater, but everyone was quickly reminded that this is in no way a guarantee that the team plans on taking a signal caller in the draft coming up, rather these visits are a way for head coach Bill Belichick to do some research.

But, Thomas might be a different story. There are a lot of scouts that believe, with his size and natural athleticism, the former Hokies QB could make an easy transition to the tight end slot.

If there is one coach that does like taking on some projects from time to time, especially by way of the draft, it’s Belichick.
