Last year, the NFL made significant changes to the Pro Bowl that were well-received by the fans, but now they have made some additional changes that will affect the players and they likely won’t be very popular.

On Wednesday afternoon, the league announced that the 2015 Pro Bowl will not be held in Hawaii. Instead, the Pro Bowl will be held on January 25, the week before Super Bowl XLIX, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale Arizona.

The game will return to Hawaii in 2016.

Players have previously stated that they would prefer the game remains in Hawaii because the free vacation is part of the large appeal for those who earn the Pro Bowl nod, but now there will not be as much incentive for the players to risk injury in a meaningless game.

It will be interesting to see how the players react.
