NFL Rumors: Green Bay Packers interested in re-signing Jermichael Finley, Johnny Jolly & Ryan Pickett

The Green Bay Packers may have made some big moves in the offseason, most notably signing defensive end Julius Peppers after he was released by their arch rival in the NFC North, the Chicago Bears.

However, over the last few years, the Packers have lost several of their own free agents and have holes in their roster.

They could turn to a few of their own free agents – tight end Jermichael Finley and defensive lineman Johnny Jolly and Ryan Pickett – to fill those holes.

According to Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin, all three players could be re-signed over the next few weeks.

"So while tight end Jermichael Finley and defensive linemen Johnny Jolly and Ryan Pickett are still unsigned – and still are on the Packers’ radar – the Packers’ free-agency scorecard as of now shows they kept their top priority free agent (cornerback Sam Shields), signed a huge-name player who may or may not have a huge impact on their defense (ex-Chicago Bears defensive end Julius Peppers), and allowed a pair of starters (center Evan Dietrich-Smith and wide receiver James Jones) to depart in part because they are confident in the young players they have behind them on the depth chart.Nevertheless, the next few weeks and months could see further action for the Packers, at least as far as bringing back a few of their own."

Finley has been with the Packers since he was drafted in 2008, but has had trouble finding suitors after suffering a horrific neck injury last year.

Jolly, who returned to the league for the first time since 2009 after constant trouble with the law last season, had 21 tackles and one sack in 13 games for the Packers last season.

Pickett, who has been with the Packers since 2006, made 19 tackles last season.
