When the Atlanta Braves signed B.J. Upton during the 2012-13 offseason, they believed he’d be their answer in center field. But what Upton has proven to be is one of the most disappointing contracts in baseball history, looking like a shell of the player he was during his tenure with the Tampa Bay Rays.

There was hope that Upton’s bad season would be behind him but the young outfielder has been woeful as ever to start the season, prompting legendary Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones to help him out.

Jones was reportedly at Turner Field four hours recently attempting to correct the flaws in Jones’ swing.

At this point, the Braves will take anything and tips from a legend like Jones are more than welcome.

Hopefully Upton will be able to incorporate some of the advice into his game because whatever he’s been doing during the past year and change hasn’t been working.

After a night off, Upton is scheduled to bat second in the Braves lineup against the New York Mets on Thursday night.
