Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater once appeared to be a lock as the top signal-caller in the 2014 NFL Draft, but since draft season has begun things have been trending in the wrong direction for the former Cardinal.

Bridgewater had a disappointing Pro Day that led to more questions being raised, and now Bridgewater continues to plunge down draft boards.

The latest problem for Bridgewater appears to be his private workouts with the teams.

According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen,  Bridgewater’s private workouts with NFL teams “have also gone very shakily.”

It is very disappointing to see what is happening to Bridgewater as the draft approaches, but it is becoming clear that he is no longer the elite draft prospect that he was once believed to be in the eyes of NFL teams.

Of course, a quick look at the game film will tell you that Bridgewater has what it takes to succeed in the NFL, and teams have gotten things wrong before.
