Th New Orleans Saints purged a lot of veteran talent to help make room for a new Jimmy Graham contract and that’s what the team is focusing on at the moment. They may have went out and surprisingly splurged on Jairus Byrd but re-signing Graham is a top priority.

No deal has been struck yet, but NFL Network’s Albert Breer believes that a deal will be done before the deadline to do so is reached — even if it’s in the 11th hour.

Graham is by far the Saints most important weapon on offense and he’s a necessity to re-sign. While nothing has happened yet, there aren’t a lot of people who can see Graham and the Saints parting ways anytime soon. There’s a chance no deal gets done before the deadline but Graham isa till franchise tagged at the end of the day and will be back in 2014 regardless.
