As the NFL Draft approaches, we are beginning to see what teams prefer what players at every position which can generally give an indication of the order players will fall early in the draft.
Of course, there are smokescreens that occur at a high rate, but where there is smoke there can also be fire.
One player who is seeing a lot of buzz around his name and could be continuing his rise up the draft boards is Notre Dame offensive lineman Zack Martin, who began his rise after a dominating performance at the 2014 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.
According to NFL draft insider Tony Pauline, “several teams” prefer Martin over Taylor Lewan of Michigan.
There is some belief that Lewan could be a top ten pick in May’s draft, so if a offensive tackle needy team prefers Martin over Lewan and they are in the top ten we could hear his name called earlier than some would expect.
Plenty can change between now and the draft, but it is worth noting that Martin’s stock only continues to be on the climb.
